Obituary

Marilyn Charlene Fulbright Fisher, of Springfield, MO, passed away peacefully on January 3, 2026.

Marilyn was born in Springfield, MO on July 31, 1927. Upon her graduation from Lincoln High School she then attended Lincoln University in Jefferson City, MO. After receiving her degree she returned to Springfield and became a teacher at Lincoln High School.

After a few years she married and became the mother of her daughter Deborah. Her family decided to relocate to Los Angeles, CA. While living in California she worked as a social worker for Los Angeles County.

In later years she married Howard Fisher and moved to Las Vegas. After she became a widow she decided to go home to Springfield to be with family and lifelong friends.

She is survived by her daughter, Deborah. Bonus children Glenetta, Wesley, and Henry. Also, grandchildren and great-grand children whom she adored.

Funeral Service will be Monday, January 12, 2026 at 11:00 AM, with Visitation from 10:00 - 11:00 AM, at Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Hazelwood Cemetery.
