Darlene
Eden
January 24, 1970 – March 9, 2026
Miriam “Darlene” Eden, 56, passed away in her home on March 9, 2026.
Darlene was born on January 24, 1970, in Kansas to Jerry and Miriam Harris, who preceded her in death. She raised her children in Nixa, Missouri and later made her home in Ozark, Missouri.
Darlene will be remembered as a devoted Christian, a caring friend, and a mother who never stopped trying. Her faith was an important part of her life, and she found community and connection through her church home at Cassidy United Methodist Church.
She had a passion for helping others, first serving her community as an EMT before becoming a Registered Nurse. Caring for others and making a difference in their lives was something she deeply valued. Her compassion extended far beyond her work, as she often opened her home and her heart to those who needed support, offering kindness, shelter, and encouragement to many throughout her life.
Darlene also spent time organizing events for nonprofit organizations alongside her close friend, Stephanie, reflecting her desire to serve others. Though she enjoyed the quiet comforts of home—watching her favorite television shows, taking afternoon naps, and spending time with her beloved cat, Lexi—she also loved making memories with family and friends, whether through simple moments together or trips and adventures shared with loved ones.
Her warmth, humor, and bright smile brought light to those around her, and she was loved by far more people than she likely ever realized.
She is survived by her son, Matthew Kirchoff and his wife, Kylea Kirchoff; her child, Shelby “Quinn” Eden; her daughter, Addison Eden; her beloved grandchild; and her brother, Brian Harris and his wife, Kim Harris.
Darlene will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her.
"Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me."
