Yvonne Carol Roberts of Springfield, Missouri, formerly of Bolivar, Missouri, passed away in her home on Tuesday, November 17, 2009 with her family at her side. Carol was born in Taney County, Missouri to Fred and Lulu Robertson, who preceded her in death. Carol was also preceded in death by her sister, Olis Meeks; brother, Audy Robertson, brother Glenn Robertson and brother Ray Robertson. Carol is survived by her daughter, Terri West-McQueary and husband, Fred of Springfield; son, Randy West of Fair Play; son, Brent West of Springfield; and son, Brian West and wife, Michele of Fair Play; four grandchildren; a brother, Harold Robertson of Higginsville; a sister, Alene Brown of Springfield; and many nieces and nephews. Carol was married to Charles West and Garland Roberts who preceded her in death. While living in Bolivar, she served as chairperson of Polk County Republican Central Committee for 17 years. She was an alternate delegate for two previous National Republican Conventions. She was a Realtor in the area for over 30 years and loved all her friends at Murney and Associates. Carol served many terms as State Director of the Missouri Association of Realtors and most recently she was an ambassador for Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce. Carol was a great mother and friend. Her strong will, valiant courage and positive attitude will continue to be an inspiration for those who knew her. Her spirit and kindness touched so many in so many ways. Her love of singing and dancing entertained those who loved her. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, November 21, 2009 in Gorman-Scharpf Brentwood Chapel in Springfield, Missouri. Burial will follow in Lindley Prairie Cemetery near Stockton, Mo.
