Clement Woodson "Woody" Cockrill passed away on January 31, 2026, after living with cancer for more than six years. He was born on March 13, 1950, in Springfield, Missouri, to Bill and Belle Cockrill.

On June 17, 1972, Woody married Cathy Bowers, and they shared more than 53 years of marriage. He was a graduate of Greenwood Laboratory School and Southwest Missouri State University.

Woody worked for M.O.C.I.C. for 35 years as a comptroller and was known for his dedication and integrity. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather.

Woody is survived by his wife, Cathy; his sons, Brian and Bill; Brian's wife, Laura; his grandchildren, Grace and Aaron; his brother, Chris, and wife Mary; his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Carol and Chris Dale; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Belle Cockrill.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Christ Episcopal Church in Springfield, Missouri.

Memorial services will be Saturday, May 30, 2026 at 10:00 AM at Christ Episcopal Church.
