Obituary

Wilma C. Romero (Wise) age 91, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 16th 2021. Born in April 1930 she was cherished sister of Neoma Nadine Arnold and Norma Jean Mill; beloved daughter of Charles Oren and Olive Jane Wise.

Wilma graduated from Strafford High and attended Southern Missouri State majoring in English and Art. Married 57 years, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jose Santiago. While stationed in Germany, Panama, and parts of the United States as a military family, they raised six children - Artie (Connie), Charles (Audrey), Richard (Melinda),  Michael (Valerie), Judith (Christi), and Janette (Pickles). After retirement from teaching and photography, she and Jose continued to travel the globe.
Committed to numerous causes, she enjoyed membership in Daughters of the Nile (Past Queen), Daughters of the American Revolution (Past Regent), Order of the Eastern Star (Past  Worthy Matron), Social Order  of the Beauceant (Past President), and Order of the Amaranth (Past Royal Matron).

Wilma enjoyed reading, collecting Precious Moments, gardening, and playing with her dogs Lily and Sissy. She will be missed and remembered as beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and cherished wife who brought strength and graciousness to every part of her life.
