Wilma L. Matney - Carr, the daughter of the late Emil and Sybil Johnston, was born November 5th, 1935 near West Plains, MO.  She passed away peacefully May 9th, 2024 at the age of eighty-eight years.

Wilma was married in 1953 to Clarence Matney and had three sons, Dennis, Randall, & Bruce.  Clarence preceded her in death in 1996 in Springfield, MO.  She later married in 2003 to George Carr who preceded her in death in 2015.  Wilma was a member of the East Grand Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Emil and Sybil, both husbands, Clarence and George, sister, Thelma and son Dennis.  She is survived by her two sons, four grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 2:00 - 4:00 PM on Sunday, May 12, 2024 at Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home. Graveside Service will be at 1:00 PM on Monday, May 13, 2024 in Mount Comfort Cemetery.
