Wilma Jean Johnston, 86, Springfield, passed away Monday, March 2, 2015 in Chestnut Glen Assisted Living, St. Peters, MO. She was born April 25, 1928 in Springfield, the daughter of Lawrence and Myrtle Marlin. Wilma worked for 17 years at Southwestern Bell Telephone Company before leaving to stay home and care for her son, Randy. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. In addition to her parents, Wilma was preceded in death by her loving husband, Bernard Mary Johnston. She is survived by her son and his wife, Randy and Diane Johnston, St. Charles; and two granddaughters, Jordan and Julia Johnston. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 7, 2015 in Hazelwood Cemetery under the care of Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home. No visitation is planned.
