William C. Thomson (Bill), age 97, passed away Tuesday, November 7, 2023 at 4:25 PM at the Strafford Care Center in Strafford, MO.

He was born the son of William and Sarah Eva (Wieber) Thomson in Queens, NY. Bill was a member of Central Assembly of God Church and an active member in both the Marine and Purple Heart groups.

He was preceded in death by his father William Thomson and mother Sarah "Sadie" Wieber Thomson; sisters Gladys and Eleanor, wife Maxine Fadden Thomson, son Michael Thomson, and daughter Nancy Thomson.

Survived by his wife Marie Thomson of Springfield, MO; son Stephen of Dannemora, NY; daughters, Carole Thomson of Hadley, NY, Joanne Thomson Benassi of Port Lucy, FL, and Kelly Thomson Baker of Bolton Landing, NY; grandson, Shawn Thomson of Saratoga NY; and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, family and friends.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to The Warriors Journey, In Memoriam to Bill Thomson, WWll, Attn: Carla Blackwell.

Visitation will be held from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 14, 2023 in Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home.  A memorial service with full military honors will begin at 2:00 p.m.
