William F. Thom, 93, Springfield, MO, formerly of Fair Oaks, PA, passed away Thursday, October 24, 2013. He was born to William F., Sr. and Helen C. Thom on June 12, 1920 in Coatbridge, Scotland. In addition his parents, he was preceded in death by wife Helen (Stuban) Thom, 2004 and two brothers, Hugh, 2004, and John, 2007. Survivors include his two sisters, Helen Fox, Springfield, MO and Elizabeth (Betty) Nanni, Battlefield, MO and other members of the Thom and Stuban families. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. He attended Geneva College and Penn State University and retired from the metals manufacturing industry as a welding engineer. He was a 50 year member of Ambridge Lodge No. 701, F & A M, Ambridge, PA. Private burial was held in Sylvania Hill, Memorial Park, Rochester, PA.
