William (Bill) Edward Stroud, 73, Springfield, passed away peacefully with his family at his side on Friday, March 10, 2023.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jacob Stroud and his wife Erma (Snow) Stroud, as well as a sister, Sue (Stroud) Wright.

Survived by his wife of 55 years, Lynda K. (Johnson) Stroud, 2 sisters, Connie Weddle (Bob), Ann Burks, a brother, Aaron Stroud (Cindi) one son, William Jason Stroud (Dawni), 2 grandchildren, Jewel and Cody, as well as many nieces and nephews and special family friends, Dave and Sue Dawley.

Bill was a devoted Christian, as well as a Vietnam Veteran, both of which he was proud, but, he was most Honored to be an instrument in the service of his God and Savior.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 15, 2023 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. with a service beginning at 11:00 a.m. in Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home.  Graveside services with full military honors will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery.
