William L.  "Bill" Raney, 87, of Springfield, passed away on Monday, July 15, 2019 in Cape Girardeau, MO. Bill was born on November 21, 1931 in Lincoln, MO, the son of Ivon and Leotha Combs Raney. He was a Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force, serving for four years in the Korean War in the 17 ^th Bomber Wing (L)(TAC). He was honorably discharged in 1955 with honors.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and one brother.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Raney; three daughters, four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, two step-granddaughters, six step-great grandchildren, three step-great great grandchildren and many other close family and friends.

Graveside services with full military honors will be held on Monday, July 22, 2019 at 2:00 PM at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
