William Ray Miller Jr., lovingly known as Bill, passed away on November 28, 2024, in Springfield, Missouri, the same city where he was born on February 12, 1951.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife and is survived by his many children and grandchildren, who will forever cherish his strength, guidance, and enduring love.

Bill was known for his strong will and passion for the outdoors, especially his love of hunting and fishing.

He dedicated 21 years of his life to law enforcement, serving with honor and distinction. Bill worked as a detective and an undercover narcotics agent, roles that showcased his courage, determination, and commitment to justice. His colleagues and community will remember him for his integrity and unwavering dedication to keeping others safe.

Bill's memory will live on in the hearts of his family and all who knew him.

A visitation and memorial service will be held on Friday, December 6, 2024, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by the service at 11:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, a cause Bill was passionate about and supported monthly.
