William "Bill" Michael Blades age, 48 of Springfield, Missouri passed away at 8:41 p.m. Friday, May 15, 2015 surrounded by his family. He enjoyed fishing and watching the St. Louis Cardinals. He looked forward to family gatherings, especially spending time with his wife and two daughters. He also loved hanging around with his good buddies. Bill is preceded in death by his father-in-law, Jim Sloan. He is survived by his wife, Amy Sloan Blades; daughters, Amanda and Katie Blades; father, Ben Sr. and mother, Mary Blades, all of Springfield, MO; brothers, Ben Blades Jr. and wife Krys, of Kansas City and Richard Blades of Springfield, MO; sister, Monica Blades Guest and husband Chris of Springfield; mother-in-law, Joanne Sloan of Springfield, MO; nephews, Chris Blades and Kai Mills of Springfield, MO; nieces, Sophia and Vanessa Blades of Kansas City, MO. Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, May 21, 2015 at 10:00 am at Immaculate Conception Church. Interment will follow in Rivermonte Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Wednesday, May 20, 2015 from 6 to 8:00 pm in Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home.
