William Charles McAnally, 86, of Springfield passed away Wednesday, December 26, 2012. He was born July 6, 1926 in Seymour, Missouri to William G. and Flossie Demery McAnally. He married Jerrene Mainwood on January 21, 1946. William served in the U.S. Army and was a World War II veteran. William retired from R.T. French Company in 1988. William is survived by his wife of 66 years, Jerrene; a son, Larry McAnally of Springfield, MO; one brother Keith McAnally and his wife Neva of Springfield, MO; two sisters, Bea Woody of Gresham, OR and Maggie Loomis and her husband Arthur of Gresham, OR.; and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial graveside service will be on Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at 10:00 AM in Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Springfield under the care of Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Disabled American Veterans, 1708 E. St. Louis Street Springfield, MO 65802. "How time flies when you're in love!"
