IN LOVING MEMORY OF
William Clyde
Lewis
March 10, 1942 – July 10, 2025
William Clyde "Bill" Lewis, a proud Army veteran and Bronze Star recipient, passed away on July 10, 2025, in Lake St. Louis, Missouri. He was 83 years old.
Born on March 10, 1942, in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Bill lived a life marked by service, strength, and dedication. His early years in South Dakota laid the foundation for a lifetime of commitment to his country and family.
Bill served honorably in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, achieving the rank of Staff Sergeant. His bravery and leadership were recognized with the awarding of the Bronze Star—an honor that reflected his courage under fire and steadfast devotion to duty.
Beyond his military service, Bill was a devoted husband to Earlene Lewis, who preceded him in death. Together, they built a family rooted in love and resilience. His children survive him: Scott and Gail Lewis, Paula and Rick Huey, and Kelly Lawson. Bill also leaves behind his siblings, Don Lewis and Mary Herron, brother-in-law Donnie Henson, and sister-in-law Irene, as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews, who knew him as a beloved brother to Earnestine, Janet, Connie, Carole and Michael.
Bill's legacy is one of honor and quiet strength. May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him and serve as a lasting tribute to a life well-lived.
