William E "Billy" Griffin passed away suddenly August 22,2021 with his beloved wife, Gae by his side. Billy was born June 27,1949 in Medford, Massachusetts, the son of Joseph Augustine Griffin and Eileen Marguerite Griffin.

Billy met and fell in love with Gae while vacationing in Springfield & they married on Oct 9th, 2010.

They rescued their Aussie, Riley, 4 years ago and she stole Billy's heart. She was his world and she misses him terribly...

He worked for the Railroad for 35+ years in Boston, MA.  Billy was very proud of his Irish heritage and loved sharing his colorful stories of working for the railroad and growing up in Boston. He was a devoted lifelong fan of the New England Patriots and the Red Sox.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Patrick and son David.

Billy is survived by the love of his life, Gae Slavens Griffin, son Patrick Griffin, sisters, Lauren Griffin and Elise Griffin, grandchildren Patrick, Quinn and Noah, and beloved dog Riley.

For all the years, for all the laughs, for the tears. for the love you showed, make it one for my baby and one more for the road, the long long road.
