William Richie Ferguson, 51, Springfield, passed away Friday, November 28, 2014 in Mercy Hospital. He was born November 11, 1963 in Springfield to John R. and Evelyn Aldous Ferguson. For many years he owned and operated The Watchman Jewelers in the Landmark Building. Recently he had worked for O'Reilly's Auto Parts. He was a member of The Tall Cedars of Lebanon Lodge and The Abou Ben Adhem Shrine. He was preceeded in death by his parents. He is survived by a wife, Maleia, a daughter, Chelsie Cross and husband, Jesse, a son, Willie Ferguson, two step-children, Elliot and Bradley France, a brother, John Ferguson and a sister, Evelyn Dawson. A memorial service will be planned at a later date. His wife Maleia plans to bury his remains on her families plot at Greenlawn Cemetery. Richie leaves many, many friends and was loved by all who knew him.
