William "Billy" David Lines, of Springfield, was born August 23, 1965, and departed this life on June 28, 2010. He is survived by his father, Bill Lines, Lori Lines; his son, Spencer Lines; aunt and uncle, Lacy and Skip Pickering, Urbana, Il.; special cousin, Jane Bright, New York, N.Y.; four special friends, Dwayne Schumer, David Owens, Don Evans, and Steve Olsen; and many other cousins and friends. Billy attended school in Springfield, starting at Portland Elementary, Jarrett Jr. High, Parkview High School, and then on to SMSU. He went on to work at his family's music store selling musical instruments. Billy was a master of electronics. He designed, manufactured, and marketed lighting equipment that was used throughout the country, from Universal Studios to New York City. He loved working as a DJ, catering to many special events. He was an avid member of the Sports Car Club of America, winning numerous awards at racing events. He was a member of South Street Christian Church. Billy was a wonderful son, an amazing father, and an all around friend to everyone. Visitation for Billy will be held in Gorman-Sharpf Funeral Home on Thursday evening from 5:30 to 7:30. Graveside services will be held Friday, 11 a.m. in Maple Park Cemetery.
