William (Bill) Foster, age 81, of Springfield, MO passed away at 8:00 a.m. on July 19, 2017 in Mercy Hospital, Springfield, MO.

He was a member of Glendale Baptist Church.  Bill owned Link Motor Supply and Shell Village and was also a U-Haul Dealer in St. Robert, MO.  In 1982, Bill and Evelyn moved to Springfield where Bill became a sales rep for Fel Pro gaskets out of Stokie, IL.  He retired after 25 years of service.  He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and a friend to all and will be greatly missed.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Venus Foster and sisters, Carol Boegler and Clova Schellack.

He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Foster, of Springfield, MO; sons, Mike Foster, of Omaha, NE and David (Sherry) Foster, of Springfield, MO; daughters, Diane (Chris) Cobb and Denise Allen, all of Nixa, MO; brother-in-law, Al Powers (Lorraine); brother, Denny (Diane) Foster; sister, Glenda (Howard) Slawson; twelve grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 22, 2017 in Glendale Baptist Church with Pastor Ean Hendrix officiating.  Visitation will be Friday, July 21, 2017 from 6 to 8:00 p.m. in Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home.
