Wilda Jean (Hilton) Brock, born January 12, 1931, near Ozark, Missouri went to meet her heavenly father at 9:23 a.m. Friday, November 15, 2013. Wilda is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Billy J. Brock, her son Greg Brock, her sister Wilma Hilton, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents Omer R. and Mabel L. (Wiggins) Hilton. Wilda is a 1949 graduate of Ozark High School, she continued her studies at Daughons Business College in Springfield. Wilda worked in the office at Thompson Auto Sales in Springfield. That was where she met handsome Billy Brock. Wilda also worked for the Springfield R-12 School District when Jon Kuklenski was Superintendant, did some book-keeping for KWTO Radio and worked at her longest position with Pete Rhodes, Supply Company. They were married on Feb. 3, 1951, at Second Baptist Church by Pastor Earl French. Wilda and Billy were blessed with the birth of their son Gregory in 1966. She knew how to keep a clean home, cook the best meals she learned from her mother, and even son Greg picked up on some of that. We know mom, you are out of sight only for a season. We'll catch up when it's our time to go to heaven. We'll miss you till then. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 19, 2013 at 2 p.m. at Second Baptist Church. The visitation will be held at Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home Monday night, November 18th, from 6 to 8 p.m.The burial will follow the funeral service on Tuesday in Maple Park Cemetery.
