Earl Wayne Manley, 72 of Springfield, MO passed away at 4:00 a.m. Monday, September 10, 2012 from complications of pneumonia. Wayne was born on July 30, 1940 in Springfield to Robert and Lona Stewart Manley. Wayne is survived by his wife, Lois and their children; Wayne, Jr., and wife Cathy, Alan and wife Cheryl, Lisa and husband Troy, and Scott and wife Darla; grand-children, Eric, Marc, Stephanie, Sarah, Chris, Ashley, Samantha, and Zackary; and great-grandchildren, Levi, Eli, Joel, Wyatt, Leah, Rosealie, Jazzlynn and Jacen with three more due soon. Wayne has numerous nieces and nephews, and is also survived by his beloved sister, Dixie Ellis. After Wayne's retirement from the Greene County Maintenance Department, he enjoyed working outside on his hobbies which included gardening. He also restored and collected antiques. Wayne was a hard working man that was always doing something. He was driven by principle and did what he felt was right. Wayne loved his family and would do anything within his power to help others. Funeral services will be Thursday, September 13, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Hazelwood Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, September 12, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
