Wayne Jerome Jackson, 39, of Springfield, Missouri passed away July 5, 2010 in Springfield. Wayne was born in Newport, Va. He attended B-B grade school in 1975 and graduated from Waynesville High School in 1989. He attended Booneville Military Academy from 1990 to 1991. As an adult Jerome established his life in Springfield. He set many goals for himself including becoming self employed. He owned various properties and dwellings and was very passionate and proud of his accomplishments. Jerome was a loving son, father, brother and friend to many. He would never put his own wants before those of his family or friends and he would always give his last if that would make someone happier. His children were always the most important to him. Jerome is survived by his parents, Terry J. and Francine Jackson, Columbia, South Carolina; a brother, Lawrence Jackson, Columbia, South Carolina; a sister, Terri Francine Jackson, Rock Hill, South Carolina; two sons, Wayne J. Jackson, Jr. and Keyshawn Jackson; two daughters, Katrice Jackson and Charisse Armstrong; and his former wife, Lesa Jackson. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 10, 2010 in Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home. Visitation will precede the service from noon until 1 p.m. on Saturday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mr. and Mrs. Terry Jackson.
