IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Wanda Mae
Stephens
May 10, 1929 – January 1, 2020
Wanda Mae (Glover) Stephens was born on May 10, 1929 near Walnut Shade, Missouri and passed away January 1, 2020 at the Strafford Care Center in Strafford, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her parents Fay Glover and Lena Chloe (Meadows) Glover; her husband William (Bill) Stephens; her brother Richard (Wade) Glover and sister-in-law Yvonne Glover.
Wanda graduated from Ozark High School in Ozark, MO and moved to Springfield, MO where she worked at the local newspaper and then held other jobs as she ventured into the working world with several of her girlfriends as roommates. She and Bill married on March 13, 1953.
Of all the jobs she had during her lifetime, the most important to her was that of wife and mother to their two sons. She was a caregiver at heart and showed her love to her family through her passion for cooking and baking. She also enjoyed quilting and gardening, but high on the list was fishing. The family spent many hours fishing and making memories on Table Rock Lake, where she lived until she was 90.
Wanda is survived by many loving family members including her son Bruce and wife Molly Stephens of Fair Grove, MO and son Mark and wife Linda Stephens of Ozark, MO. She is also survived by her grandchildren Levi, Lucas, Kristin and Jonathan Stephens; great grandson Bryton Stephens and step great grandson Myles Meyer. She is also survived by a sister Dianne Victor and brother in law Gerry Victor of Texas and several cousins and many nieces and nephews.
Wanda was loved by all and memories of her will continue to warm our hearts as she continues to care for us from above.
