Obituary

Walter Thomas "Tom" Beyer, 93, Springfield, passed away Thursday, October 6, 2022.  He was born October 29, 1929 in Springfield, the son of Frank Anthony Beyer, Jr. and Mabel Catherine Barrett Beyer.

Tom was a tremendous provider for all his family.  He was the owner of Kastalloy Foundry in Rogersville, MO, EVP of FASCO Industries for 30 plus years and upon retiring, he kept working for Ferrite Corporation, Chicago, Illinois for another 6 plus years.

He was a man of many talents and there was nothing he wouldn't try at least once. He enjoyed making people laugh and giving hugs, especially to those he felt needed them the most. He loved going to Village Inn and sounding the horn to announce his arrival, bringing a smile to the kind staff. Tom had quite a run and enjoyed his pranks and attempted to enjoy life to the fullest.

Tom was a man before his time with very innovative ideas and a willingness to help people.  He loved animals and especially the ocean and Dolphins, which he had the opportunity to swim with.

His love for his wife was forever and now they are together again.  May he go in peace and be with Joan McCracken Beyer, wife, loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

A father, grandfather and great-grandfather is survived by his son, Tony Beyer and wife his Linda; daughter, Tonya All and her husband Allen; granddaughter, Kendra Shook and her husband Jeremy; grandsons, Nik and Kris; great-grandchildren, Lainey, Ryker, Camden and Aubrey.

He will be missed every day, but he would say "go do your job!" and "make sure you know how much I love you!"

A celebration of Life will be held Saturday, November 5, 2022 from 2-4:00 p.m. in the Club House of Cooper Estates.  Online condolences may be left at gormanscharpf.com.  In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Humane Society www.humanesociety.org/memorial
