Wally Adam McCurdy, 32, of Springfield, departed this world April 1, 2019. He was born to Joseph W. McCurdy and Darla Sanders on July 23, 1986 in Springfield. Wally spent 6 months in the National Guard, completing his schooling and passing his GED Test with high grades.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his daughter, Marley McCurdy; grandmother, Phyllis Sanford; Uncle, Ronald McCurdy; aunts, Paula McCurdy, Martha DeVries (Michael) and Lavon McCurdy and family from Joplin; cousins Hannah and Haley DeVries, Salamon Garrison, John McCurdy and family, Ray Collins and family, and Alisha McCurdy; stepmother, Debbie Monks and family of Climax Springs, MO, and several friends and church family that cared for him.

Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, April 9, 2019 at 10:00 AM at National Heights Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to organizations that help with the prevention of substance abuse and mental health.
