Wallace D. Warren, 88, passed away Saturday, April 27, 2013 in Ozark Riverview Manor. He was born December 17, 1924 in Independence, MO to Clarance Alexander Warren and Emma Fern Chapman Warren. Wallace was a World War II, U.S. Army Veteran and was wounded at Normandy. He was united in marriage to Annetta June Chalender on January 4, 1946. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Military Order of Purple Heart and the American Radio Relay League. His hobbies included amateur radio and computers. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife and a grandson Warren Burke. He is survived by his daughter, Judy Ann and her husband Tim Burke; a grandson, Major John Randall Burke and his wife Michelle; two great grandchildren Emily and Ruth Ann Burke and a sister Patsy Toler, Georgia. Graveside services will be held at 11 AM, Wednesday, May 1, 2013 in Hazelwood Cemetery under the direction of Gorman-Scharpf Brentwood Chapel. No visitation is planned. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Red Cross or Grace United Methodist Church.
