Vivian Joyce Taylor, daughter of Franklin Alexander Taylor and Jewell Newman Taylor was born May 13, 1933 in Gainsville, MO and moved to Dallas County at 2 years of age. She graduated from Pleasant Hope High School in 1951 then moved to Springfield that same year where she made her home. Vivian retired from the Frisco Railroad in 1984 where she had worked for 24 years.  She departed this life at The Neighborhoods at Quail Creek on February 23, 2023 at the age of 89 years 8 months and 23 days.

Vivian was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Thomas Mack, Sharrell Jay, sisters Betty June and Beverly Sue. Vivian is survived by 4 brothers Elmer Lee, Dwight Patton, Richard Joe, David Brent and 1 sister Tracey Ann Rothe. She leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews.

Vivian was a beloved sister and aunt and will be missed by all.
