On October 23, 2022, Virginia F. Sousley went to be with Jesus and her first husband, the love of her life, Fredrick Broshear.
She is preceded in death by her daughter, Anita Broshear; her parents, Jessie and Fern Tadlock; her siblings: Beulah Tadlock, Charles Tadlock, Barbara Griffin, and Beverly Leatherman and her son-in-law, Gene Rog.
Virginia will be missed by her children: Michael (Jane) Broshear, Vicki Broshear, Janice Rog and Sheri (David) Mayes; her grandchildren: Lee Rog, Amber Baker-Lutz, Kimberly (Phillip) Tucker, Rick (Nicole) Baker, Nathan (Holly) Broshear, James Broshear and Makayla (Micah) Nale; her great-grandchildren: Aspen Tucker, Deanna Means, Natalie Tucker, Mayalani Rog, Danielle Baker, Alyssa Lutz, Marric Lutz, Dillion Baker, Skylar Nale, Spencer Nale and Angelica (Justin) Brooker; her great-great-grandchildren: August Tucker, Mackenzie, Joshua, Hayden and Embersyn Brooker.
Virginia was born April 17, 1939, in Long Lane, Missouri. She has four living siblings: Joann McGuire, Shirley See, Jim Tadlock and Larry (Debbie) Tadlock.
She was a homemaker, single mom, a Zenith and a Mercy Home Health worker. She enjoyed helping the elderly and handicapped live in their own homes. She loved to quilt, sew, and crochet. Her fried chicken was famous in her circles. Virginia loved the Chicago Bulls, the St. Louis Cardinals, and the Kansas City Chiefs. Her TV always aired a game of some sort. She loved traveling especially to the Rocky Mountains and the ocean. She treasured her coffee cup collection from her various adventures. Virginia had a silly sense of humor and loved to tease those around her. She was a positive light and is loved, cherished, and will be greatly missed.
Visitation will be Tuesday, November 1, 2022, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home.
