Virginia "Jane" Ryan, 89, of Springfield, passed away Tuesday, May 17, 2016 in Springfield Rehabilitation Health Center.

She was born in Springfield, MO on August 29, 1926, the daughter of James Lee Ryan and Virginia Nichols Ryan. Jane attended both Springfield (Central) High School and Drury College. For 44 years Jane worked as an office manager for surgeon Dr. Robert Maher. Jane enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing, gardening, and bird watching. She was very fond of baseball and hockey. She was an avid fan of our Missouri teams.

Jane was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, Bill and Jim. She is survived by her niece, Debra Ryan and nephew, Robert Ryan. She also leaves behind several longtime close friends who will miss her dearly.

Graveside services will be held at 1:30 pm on Monday, May 23, 2016 at Greenlawn Cemetery under the direction of Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home.

Aunt Jane, we love you, we will miss you, and hope now you can rest in peace.
