Violet Wilkison, 99, of Springfield, passed away on January 31, 2025 at James River Nursing and Rehabilitation. She was born September 23, 1925 in Kingston, England to James and Edith Smith.

Violet was loved by everyone. She was a devout Christian. Her hobbies were knitting and reading. She loved her hot tea! She could do anything. If she wanted a cart or frames, she built them herself. She loved to sew and was always humming. She left a lasting impact on everyone she met.

She was preceded in death by her parents; seven brothers and sisters; Ron, Reg, Vic, Norman, Dennis, Ivy and Edna and her husband, John.

Violet is survived by her twin sister, Lil of England; son, John (Brenda) of Michigan; daughter, Janice of Missouri; son, Mark (Jackie) of Missouri; grandchildren Johnny, Matt, Ryan, Johnny and Jamie; great grandchildren, Kylee (John John), Johnny, Alexander, Aiden, Lucas, Addison and Ivy; great-great grandchildren  DJ, Declin and Divinity and many other nieces, nephews and close family and friends.

Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, February 7, 2025 in Rivermonte Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society.
