Victoria Stowe Lee, 101, of Springfield, Missouri, peacefully passed away on August 23, 2026, leaving behind a remarkable legacy of faith, family, strength, and love.

Victoria was born in Conway, Arkansas, on January 4, 1925, to Royal H. Stowe and Julia Hendrickson Stowe. At the age of seven her family made their home at Turner Station, Missouri.

She was raised in a Christian home and accepted Christ at an early age. Her faith remained close to her heart throughout her life and continued to deepen through the years.

After graduating from Logan-Rogersville High School in 1943, Victoria joined the United States Navy WAVES and proudly served her country during World War II. Her service reflected the courage, independence, and strength that would remain defining qualities throughout her life. In 1947, Victoria married her husband, Bill Lee. They shared 41 years of marriage and raised three children together: Tim, Bill, and Melissa. Victoria will be laid to rest beside her husband Bill in a private family graveside service with full military honors.

Victoria loved to travel, read, garden, and bake, but the greatest part of her life was always her family. Victoria leaves a legacy of strength, faith, and authenticity. She was someone who loved deeply, spoke honestly, and lived unapologetically as herself.

Victoria was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bill; her son; Daniel Timothy, her parents; and all four of her siblings.

She is survived by her son Bill Lee (Anita) and daughter Melissa Wouk, (Wade), daughter-in-law, Donna, widow of Daniel Timothy, seven grandchildren; Shawna, Billy, Samantha, Travis, Ashley, Josh, and Hannah, twelve great-grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter, and the many family members, including cousin, Norma Lee MacCarver, a special nephew, Joseph Jaffe, and friends whose lives were touched by hers. Victoria shared a special companionship with the beloved family cat, Figaro, who was by her side for the past 17 years and became a cherished part of her daily life. In honor of her 100th birthday on January 4, 2025, the City of Springfield presented Victoria with an official proclamation declaring the day Victoria Stowe Lee Day. The recognition honored her extraordinary life of service, perseverance, and the lasting inspiration she brought to her family and community.

Her story, her love, and her legacy will never end. The memories she created will forever bring smiles, laughter, and comfort to those fortunate enough to have known and loved her. She left us with grace, courage, and the example of a life well lived.
