Victoria I. Cook, the most wonderful mother who ever graced the earth, left to be with Jesus Christ, her Lord and Savior, on November 17, 2014 with her family in attendance. She was born on May 25, 1915 on Long Island, New York to Victoria and Antonio Simone. She was a long time resident of the town of Croton-on-Hudson, New York, where she met and married Charles J. Cook who predeceased her in 1987 in Springfield where they moved to be with other family members. She is survived by three sons; Charles A. Cook and his family from California, Robert Cook and his family from Springfield, and John Cook and his family from Tennessee and Celeste S. Cacioppo and her husband of Springfield, as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great great-grandchildren, who loved her dearly and will miss her tremendously. Funeral arrangements will be administered by Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home; there will be no visitation. A grave site ceremony will be on Thursday afternoon, November 20, at 2:00 PM at Maple Park Cemetery by Rev. John Schaefer of Southern Heights Bible Church.
