Velton Perry Viles, 72, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, September 13, 2023, surrounded by his family.

Velton loved both of his sons greatly along with all of his grandchildren. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and especially making people laugh. He had a great sense of humor and was always the life of the party. He will be truly missed by his entire family and his many friends.

He was preceded in death by both of his parents, Alva Perry Viles and Vivian Louise Viles. He is survived by his wife, Melissa Viles of Springfield, MO, 2 sons, Greg (Fallon) Viles of Texarkana, TX, Mike (Kris Kammerer) Viles of St. Louis, MO. He is also survived by 1 brother, Terry (Sherry) Viles of Raymore, MO and 2 sisters, Vicki Moreno of Lee's Summit, MO and Teresa (Terry) Thornton of Belton, MO, 1 step-daughter, Megan (Brian) Pierson of Springfield, MO, and 10 grandchildren, Paige, Lexi, Greylon, Johnathan, Skye (Greg Viles), Rose and Pearl (Mike Viles), Ellie and Cora (Megan Pierson), Laila Ulberg, and many nieces and nephews.
