Velma Saddler, born August 10, 1930 to Marion and Yewell Brayfield in Springfield, Missouri. She is survived by her husband, Herschel; four sons, Bill and wife Marsha Saddler, Nixa, Kenneth and wife Debra Saddler, Jonesboro, Arkansas, Ron Saddler and Randy Saddler, both of Springfield; and three sisters, Maxine Baker, Betty Hill and Shirley Gruhn; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Bernice Kirkey; a brother, Richard Brayfield and sons, Larry and David. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 pm, Thursday, February 25, 2010 in Missouri Veteran's Cemetery under the direction of Gorman-Scharpf Brentwood Chapel. No visitation is planned, however friends may call after noon Wednesday in the funeral home.
