Velma Acree, 71 of Springfield, MO passed away at 4:28 a.m. on October 2, 2011 in St. John's Hospital, Springfield after a brief battle with pneumonia. Velma is survived by her husband Elick Acree; her daughter, Angela (Bob Torp); son, Greg Acree; granddaughters, Kelsey and Bailey Acree; and a great-grandson Aiden Acree, all of Springfield. She is also survived by other loving family members and friends. Graveside services will be held Wednesday October 5, 2011 at 1:30 p.m. in White Chapel Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, under the care of Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home. No visitation is scheduled.
