Veda Faye Burgess, 89, passed away Thursday, April 5, 2012 in her home. She was born May 5, 1922 in Mansfield, MO. She was a member of the Loyal Quilters and a member of Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years William T. Burgess Sr.; parents, Clyde and Eulala Tarbutton; a son, William T. Burgess Jr.; daughter, Carol Sue Horton and a grandchild, James Michael Horton. She is survived by three grandchildren, Charles "Chuck" William Burgess, Karen Horton, Tarra Mulholland four great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. Graveside service will be Saturday, April 7, 10:30am, in Hazelwood Cemetery under the direction of Gorman-Scharpf Brentwood Chapel with the minister John Appling presiding. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association and Hospice Compassus.
