V. Chloella "Chloe" Durham, age 77, transitioned from this life to Heaven Saturday, March 12, while living at Maranatha Village. She was born September 12, 1933, in McDonald County, Missouri, to Reverend Ralph A. and Ella E. (Cook) Durham. She graduated from high school in Montrose, Colorado, and attended Bob Jones and Drury Universities. Chloe was employed by The General Council of the Assemblies of God 1960-1998. She was a licensed insurance broker and served the Payroll and Ministers Insurance Offices as manager. She was a member of Central Assembly of God for the past 50 years. She enjoyed her involvement in The Four States Village People Collector's Club and the PACE group at the Southside Senior Center. Chloe was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Wilfred G. Durham and his wife, Opal. She is survived by her nephew, D. Scott Durham, his wife Kim and their daughters, Brianne and Amanda, and one great-great nephew, her two step-brothers Phil (Twila) and Virgil (Kathy) Illum, and their sons Brian, Greg and Brenton Illum, and their children. Also surviving is her constant companion, Rudy, her Schnoodle, numerous cousins and a host of friends. Visitation will be Monday, March 14, from 5 to 6:30 p.m., and the funeral service at 10 a.m., Tuesday in the Gorman Scharpf Chapel. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. Her caregivers are extremely thankful to the Maranatha staff and Seasons Hospice for the loving care Chloe received. Memorial contributions can be made to Seasons Hospice or GYN Cancer Alliance.
