Tylene McPheeters Zumwalt, 83, Bolivar, MO passed away on Monday, January 21, 2019 in Cox South.  She was born October 11, 1935 in Millsap, Texas, the daughter of Richard Lee and Effie D. (Bagley) Jobe.  Tylene's family moved to Bolivar in 1945 from Seminole, Texas.   She was a member of Berean Baptist Church in Bolivar and was baptized there in 1952.  She was a 1953 graduate of Bolivar High School and worked for the Bolivar Telephone Company for several years after high school.  She was united in marriage on June 25, 1954 to Hobart McPheeters.  She later was married to Herbert Zumwalt on December 12, 1980.  Tylene worked for Southwest Electric from 1966-1982.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Francis Herbert Zumwalt and her brother, Troy Jobe.

Tylene is survived by her son and his wife, Rick and Terresa McPheeters; three daughters, Karen Testerman, Laura Moore, and Shelly Howell and her husband, Bruce; two brothers, Darian Jobe and wife, Kay, and Olle Jobe and wife, Sharon; one sister, Nellie "Dee" Beckley; grandchildren, Andrea (Kyle) Byrnes, Matthew (Leslie) McPheeters, Magan McPheeters, Andrew (Sabrina) Morgan, Christopher (Kacie) Covert, Austin (Jason) Colbach and Amy R. Wheeler; eight great-grandchildren; and numerous extended family and friends.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 26, 2019 in Mount View Cemetery, Polk, MO, 8 miles north of Bolivar on Highway D, under the care of Gorman-Scharpf Brentwood Chapel.  No formal visitation is planned, however friends may call after 10:00 a.m. Friday in the funeral home.
