Obituary

Tucker David Redfern, age 21, passed away on Monday December 10, 2012 following a motor vehicle accident. Tucker was born at St. John's Hospital in Springfield on March 11, 1991, to Dr. and Mrs. David Redfern. He attended the Logan Rogersville schools from K-12 and was a 2009 graduate of Rogersville High School. He was currently attending Ozarks Technical Community College, where he was pursuing a degree in Construction Management. He enjoyed working with his hands and thoroughly enjoyed woodworking. Tucker was an avid outdoor enthusiast, enjoying hunting, camping, hiking, motorcycles and longboarding. He was a gifted marksman, who at the age of 13, shot two deer with a single bullet. Tucker was concerned about the disadvantaged and those with disabilities, especially children. Tucker attended South Haven Baptist Church as a youth and received the gift of Salvation after attending a summer camping trip to Windermere Campgrounds. He is survived by his parents: David and Virginia Redfern; two sisters: Chelsea and Madison; a brother: Cooper; paternal grandparents: David and Phyllis Redfern of Wagoner, OK; maternal step grandfather and grandmother: Dave and Carol Scott of Springfield; maternal grandfather: William Overholt of Springfield; a special girlfriend: Morgan Fisher of Nixa and a host of beloved aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Funeral services will be held at 11am, Friday December 14, 2012, at South Haven Baptist Church. Burial will be at Turner Cemetery at Turner's Station, Missouri under the direction of Gorman-Sharpf Brentwood Chapel. No public visitation is scheduled. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Cross Trail Outfitters of Missouri, Springfield Unit.
