Tonish (Tony) Fewell Sr. 54, was born on April 1, 1965 to Howard Sr. and Gloria Fewell in Springfield, Mo. Tony transitioned from this life on November 27, 2019, at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Mo.
A 1983 graduate from Central High School, Tony was a lover of the arts; from kick boxing to music. He was a self-taught pianist and was gifted to play multiple instruments. He shared his gifts through teaching & performing for groups of all ages with his most notable performance being opening for the Pointer Sisters with the "Pop Along Kids".
His personal claim for fame was breaking out in song and showing his masterful skill of song writing.
He was loved by many and never met a stranger. Tony loved everyone from the homeless to the rich. He was charitable in nature to the point of giving you the shirt off his back. He had the ability to change the energy in a room with his mannerisms, love and respect he showed to others; all of which he passed on to his children and grandchildren along with his musical talents.
Tony is preceded in death by his son, Tolando; his parents, Howard Sr. and Gloria; sister Evelyn (Annie) Hairston; sister-in-law, Lois Blakey; brother, Eshan Thomas; paternal grandparents, Herbert & Alice Fewell; maternal grandparents, Douglas Sr. and Mary Shockley.
He is survived by his children Tonish Jr.(Rebekah), Antonio, Tonisha (Octavius) Manier, Tonikko, Tonish III, Tomari, Jaymen, Brenston Clark, Airiana Thomas, Heather Lynn, Simaya, Torais, Eli, Aja; four brothers, Howard Jr. (JoAnn), Doug (Gayla), David Blakey Sr. and Steve Small Sr.; three sisters, Carletta Adams, Marti (James) and Yolanda; one brother-in-law, Barry Hairston; aunt, Joyce (Milt) Adams; 22 grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends.
Visitation will be Friday, December 6, 2019 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM in Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be Saturday, December 7, 2019 at 11:00 AM in Deliverance Temple Ministries, 2101 W. Chestnut Expressway. Interment will be Monday, December 9, 2019 at 1:00 PM in Antioch Cemetery, Clinton, Mo.
