Toni Lynn Charles, 69, of Springfield, passed away June 12, 2023 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO. She was born on April 25, 1954 to Lawrence E. Roberts, Sr. and Virginia Lee Clouse Roberts at Chanute AFB in Rantoul, IL.

She was a member of the Air Force for five years. She worked for the U.S. Post Office for several years as a Manager of Post Offices in SW Missouri and SE Missouri. She retired as the Postmaster of the Ozark, MO Post Office.

Toni was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her son, Chad Charles (Grace McLaughlin) of Nixa; sister, Diane Hasler (Chuck Tingler) of Ozark; brothers Larry Roberts (Leslie) of Kimberling City, MO, Jim Roberts (Peggy) of Mokena, IL, Tom Roberts (Debbie) of Lake Placid, FL and John Roberts (Libby) of Sparta; grandson, David Lachene; nephews Phil, Nick and Tom; nieces Cathy, Kim, Carrie, Katie, Megan, Jenny, Kyrie, Caley and Darby; 21 great nieces and nephews and four great-great nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 12:00 -1:30 PM Friday, June 23, 2023 in Gorman-Scharpf Brentwood Chapel followed by a celebration of life with Chaplain Larry Kackley officiating.
