Obituary

Tona was born to Howell Bostic Lewis and Marvin Jean Lewis on October 14, 1958 in Springfield, Missouri.  She graduated from Central High School in 1976.  Tona worked at Pipkin Middle School for 10 years and continued in the work force as a caretaker.

She was preceded in death by parents, Howell Bostic Lewis and Marvin Jean Richardson, brothers, Michael J. Lewis and Richard C. Lewis.

Tona leaves to mourn her three sons, Cheaves Lewis, Jeremy Lewis and Cortell (Cory) Lewis; siblings, Donna Fay Copeland (Ed), Howell B. Lewis III, Valerie Jean Jones, Glynn Victor Lewis "Roni" and Marcus Terrell Richardson; nine grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Tona was a light that reflected onto each and every person she came in contact with.  Her smile and bubbly personality were contagious.  She loved spending time with her family and special friends along with her grandkids.  Her hobbies were perfecting her green thumb and decorating for every holiday.  Tona never met a stranger.  She made everyone feel her love and that was shown by creating a nickname for all of her loved ones.
