Thomas Harold Smith, age 67, of Republic, Missouri, passed away unexpectedly on July 4, 2017. Tom was born in Sacramento California.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Terry Smith. Tom is survived by the three loves of his life, his wife, Mary Birren-Smith, Republic MO; his sons, Michael Byron Smith, 42, and Thomas Ryan Smith, 35, St Louis, MO; also, his step-son, Justin Michael Peck, 27; and grandson, Christopher Michael Smith, 24.

Tom spent his childhood in Council Bluffs Iowa. After college, Tom found his way to St Louis, MO as he began his 20-plus year career with Associated Hosts, also known as Bombay Bicycle Club. His career journey eventually led him to Highland Springs Country Club. There he found a new family among the employees as well as the members.

Tom had a passion for golf and shared his love of sports with his son Thomas.

His true passion was his wife, Mary. Their love for each other is truly something special.

A celebration of Tom's life will be held Saturday, July 8, 2017 at 1:00 pm in Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home,
