Terry R. Bessman, age 49, passed away on Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at Select Specialty Hospital in Springfield, MO following a lengthy illness after the Joplin Tornado. Terry was born on May 28, 1962 in Neosho, MO to Gilbert and Carol Fullerton Bessman. He was preceded in death by his father. He graduated from East Newton High School and was a lifelong resident of the area. He worked in the trucking industry most of his life and was an avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed fishing. Terry married Susan Lindstedt on June 19, 1982, who he is survived by. Survivors also include two sons, Terry Jr. of Columbus, KS and Justin of Diamond, MO; mother, Carol; two sisters, Candie Reinhart and husband Wayne of Coffeyville, KS and Lorie Dilworth and husband Rob of Carthage, MO; numerous other relatives and a host of friends. In keeping with Terry's wishes there will be a private family service. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Missouri Conservation Heritage Foundation at www.missouriconservationheritagefoundation.org ,in honor of Terry's love of fishing.
