Terrance "Terry" Arthur Holcom, age 70, of Highlandville, Mo., very unexpectedly made his transition on Sunday August 9, 2009, leaving a void within all the hearts that he touched. Terry was born February 28, 1939 in Lawrence, Kansas. Terry went to school in K.C. Mo. until he entered the Air Force in 1956. In 1957, he married Judy Lee (Hammer). This union was blessed with three beautiful children, Terri Driver, Ken and Patrick Holcom, all of Nixa, Mo. Terry worked as a service representative and retired from Pitney Bowes Inc. after 34 years of service. Terry then owned and operated The Supply Shop in Nixa for over ten years. Survivors include his wife and three children; one brother, Byron Dean Holcom of Battlefield, Mo.; and one grandson, Calin Driver of Nixa Mo. A celebration of Terry's life will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, August 13, 2009 in Christ Church Unity under the care of Gorman-Scharpf Brentwood Chapel. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. Thursday until service time. Inurnment with full military honors will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday in Missouri Veterans Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the charity of your choice.
