Tela Ann Smith, 78, of Springfield, MO passed away January 22, 2021 in Springfield.

She was a member of East Side General Baptist Church

She was preceded in death by her father, Irven McFadden; mother, Betty McFadden; husband, Dewey Smith; sister, Barbara Freeman and grandson, Michael Smith.

She is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Mark & Debby Hunter; son and fiance', Greg Hunter & Wendy Thompson, daughter, Michelle Hubler, stepsons and daughters-in-law Jim & Angela Smith and Jeff & Sherry Johnson; grandchildren Derek Hunter & wife Summer, Brea Hunter & fiance' Logan Anderson, Devon Hunter, Lexi Hunter, Jeffrey Hunter, Christopher Owen, Kyra Owen, Jacob & Tiffany Tipton, Tera Needham, Matthew & Cady Smith and Tim Smith; great grandchildren Sierra LaDuke, Abbi Slavens, Lucas Needham, Braeden Needham, Daisie Needham, Harper Smith and Holden Smith and great great grandchild, Liam Johnson.

Our family would like to convey our depth of gratitude for Tela's Integrity Home Care & Hospice nurses:  Kristen, Carolyn, Cindy, Doris and Chaplain Jeff and dearest friend Heidi Smith.

Tela will be remembered for her unconditional love for her family, her dog Sparky and Angels.  She also loved watching college basketball and major league baseball, especially her St Louis Cardinals.

No immediate service due to covid.  A celebration of life to be held at a later date.
