IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Ted Allen
Smith
September 2, 1964 – September 21, 2021
It is with heavy hearts that we announce Ted Allen Smith passed away at 57 years old on Tuesday, September 21, 2021.
Ted was born on September 2, 1964, in New Albany, Indiana. After graduating high school, Ted was proud to serve his country in the United States Army, and later the United States Air Force. After 21 years of dedicated service, Ted retired as a Captain in the United States Air Force. During his time in the Air Force Ted attended Lipscomb University in Nashville, Tennessee, and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. Ted then earned his title as a Certified Public Accountant. Once moving back to Missouri he proudly operated his own private practice for the past two decades. Ted was passionate about his community and was honored to serve as an alderman for the City of Ozark from 2013-2021.
While serving in the Air Force Reserves, Ted met Jane Sethman through a mutual friend. The two wed in 1993 at the Eliot chapel in Kirkwood, Missouri
Family was the most important thing to Ted. In addition to his wife, Jane, he is survived by his parents Gary Smith, Doris Endres, and his sister Kathy Barry. Ted is also survived by his four children, Brandon, Zach, Rachel and Anna.
