Sylvia L. Bare, 95 of Springfield passed away at 12:20 pm Monday, May 1, 2023 in Springfield Villa. She was born the daughter of R. E. Lee and Sylvia McDaniel.

She was a life-long member of Christ Episcopal Church and served there in numerous activities. She was also a member of the Daughters of the King and PEO. Sylvia was a real estate agent for over 40 years and was a Lifetime Million Dollar Producer in real estate.

She is survived by two sons, Bob Bare (Elaine) of Atlanta, GA, and Charlie Bare (Mary) of Springfield; three daughters, Melinda Bodanske (Dan) of Mountain Home, AR, Sarah Bare of Fair Grove and Sylvia McQueary of Springfield; her sister, Sug Hancock of Springfield; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

The family would like to thank St. Croix Hospice for their wonderful care of Sylvia.

Funeral services will be Friday, May 5, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Christ Episcopal Church with burial to follow in Maple Park Cemetery under the care of Gorman Scharpf Funeral Home.
