IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Susie
Mccrimmons
January 31, 1981 – February 15, 2026
Susanna Renee McCrimmons, 45, of Springfield, passed away suddenly Sunday, February 15, 2026, in her home. She was born January 31, 1981, in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, the daughter of Paul R. Deck and Cecilia M. Jansen Deck. Some of you might most recognize her by the name of Susie, Susie Q, Squirt, CJ, Aunt Butt or simply Q.
Susie was everyone's cheerleader. If you had dream, she believed in it. If you were tired, she carried hope for you. If you doubted yourself, she reminded you who you were. Susie would be the one to show up randomly with coffee and flowers because she heard you were having a bad day. She consistently checked in with friends and family making sure they felt loved and cared for. Her greatest honor was being a mother to her children and next best was being godmother to Olivia and Mason.
Susie is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 17 years, William McCrimmons and five children. Dexter, Daniel, Samantha, Anna and Cooper; her mother, Cecilia Deck-Georger, stepfather, Elmer Georger; her siblings: Mary Ella and Curt Vajnar, Doug and Sarah Deck, Tracy Deck, Patricia Deck, Mark and Nikki Deck, four stepsiblings, her mother-in-law, Pam Adams, sister-in-law, Michelle McCrimmons and many nieces and nephews: Ebbony McCrimmons, Makayla McCrimmons, Kendal McCrimmons, Zachary Deck, Conrad (Haley) Vajnar, Colton (Hayley) Vajnar, Cyrus Vajnar, Mason Deck, Keegan Deck, Cameron Abernathy, Mary Elizabeth Vajnar, Cannon Vajnar, Olive Deck, Violet Deck, Josie Deck, Robbie Deck, Mary May Vajnar and Leo Vajnar and her goddaughter, Olivia Jansen.
She was preceded in death by her father, Paul R. Deck, one brother, Bryan Deck, maternal grandparents, Walter and Mary Anna Jansen, paternal grandparents, Paul and Laura Deck, paternal aunts, Mary Ann Rogers and Polly Sitze, maternal uncle and godfather, Abraham Jansen and her godmother Edith Seiler.
Susie obtained a degree in Criminal Justice from Southeast Missouri State University and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Missouri in 2008. She began her law career in the Office of the Attorney General in their Consumer Protection Division. Prior to attending law school, Susie, worked for the Greene County Public Administrator's Office, under Carolyn Little. When Susie and her husband, Will, moved to Springfield, she again worked for the Greene County Public Administrator's Office then continued her law career working for Smith-Montgomery Law, Springfield Law Group and Ozarks Family Law before branching out into her own practice in 2022. Susie did Guardian ad Litem work for almost the entirety of her law career.
As a dedicated lawyer, she worked tirelessly for her clients, but her true passion was her family and her community. She served on the Springfield Dream Center's Development Board and the Westminster Presbyterian Church Parish Council. She also gave much of her time volunteering at local nonprofits, including teaching classes and helping with childcare at the Springfield Dream Center. She was also a previous member of 417 Pros: Power Connect Alliance.
Susie was a loving wife and the most amazing mother. She was also a cherished friend, daughter, and sister, always ready to give of herself without reservation. Her sense of humor, kindness, and hardworking spirit were matched only by her sharp wit and ability to make anyone feel welcome.
We have gratitude for the blessing Susie was and will always be in our lives. She was a remarkable person who touched the lives of everyone she met.
