Susan (Glenn) Hilgert, 43 years old, went to be with her Lord and Savior and her Granny on Friday, March 28th, 2014. Susie was an incredibly loving, kind, fun-loving, spirited and beautiful soul inside and out and will be terribly missed by all who knew and loved her. She will be best known for her infectious personality and her undying love for her son, Gage Hilgert and her family and friends. She lit up a room. Susan is preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, (Granny) Margaret Glenn of Dadeville, MO; her mother, Connie (Fudge) Glenn Eineichner of Iola, Kansas; and paternal grandfather, Archie Glenn of Dadeville, MO. Susan was born on October 30th, 1970 in the Bremerton Naval Hospital in Bremerton, Washington to Bob and Connie Glenn. She attended Dadeville Elementary School, Ash Grove Elementary, Middle and High School. After high school she attended and graduated Missouri School of Cosmetology. An amazing work ethic she worked in many hair salons in Springfield, MO. An extremely artistic and talented individual Susan faced everything with passion, zeal and a lust for life. She never knew a stranger and everyone was the same to her; all just people and people to her were wonderful. She loved the elderly and those less fortunate than she. She touched many, many lives in her short time here on earth and her legacy of love will be felt for years to come. Susan is survived by the love of her life, her son, Gage Michael Hilgert of Springfield, MO; her father, Bob Glenn of Everton, MO; her step-parents, John and Paula Eineichner of West Allis, WI; her sister, Robin Byler and brother-in-law, Greg; nieces, Kendal (11) and Jacey Rae (6); and nephew, Grant (3); her sister, Christy Eineichner Patton and brother-in-law, Robert, nieces, Brooke (14) and Olivia (8); and a host of other loving aunts, uncles and cousins. Services will be Saturday, April 5, 2014 at 2pm at Crossway Baptist Church, 2900 N. Barnes, Springfield, MO 65803. Visitation will be Friday, April 4, 2014 from 6 to 8pm at the church.
